I'm running off to read your article about Lord Vauthry! As soon as I saw the name I pricked up my ears, because I almost never see anyone talk about him, and he creeps the *heck* out of me. When he eats the spoon. Seriously.
Vauthry is an immensely unsettling villain and I love how the tells for that come very early in the story. Thing is, the complete non-reactions everyone in Eulmore has to that first tantrum of his slips by so easily in the face of the infamous “Welcome to Shadowbringers” moment in Ahm Araeng. That, alongside Emet Selch being the more readily present villain throughout, had a lot of people forget just how well written and unsettling he is in my experience.
I really enjoyed The Beasts of Boggart’s Boneyard! I think it’s just not been up for very long, and this time of year is super busy for a lot of people - I know I’ve got lots of stories / articles I haven’t got round to reading yet.
The short life so far is likely the case, alongside time of year. The list is meant to be a little bit tongue-in-cheek, though; a bit overdramatic, not entirely serious, that sort of thing. Most of what I say here should be taken with a grain of salt.
