I love this! We had similar ideas with our Suffmas and telling the future. I love the completely different directions they took, though. He’s the perfect Ghost of Christmas Future, silent and foreboding, what a great connection to make.
From the second or third sentence I was thinking, "Huh, reminds me a bit of Dickens." Glad when it turned out I wasn't imagining the connection. Cool take on the suff!
Of the short list of Christmas stories/movies that I enjoy, Christmas Carol is one of them.
This was a great, great addition to the Suff collection and probably my favorite Christmas special! I really admire the intelligent idea to make the Suff the Ghost of Christmas Future.
I have to thank one of my game design teachers from my early college days for helping me develop it lol
He really did teach me an important lesson, though. "Ideas that are great, fun, or cool usually start out sounding stupid. Go ahead, take your favorite game and condense it to a single line idea. Resident Evil? Cops got trapped in a house with zombies and monsters. Mega-Man? Good guy robot fights bad guy robots with lasers and steals their powers. Sonic the Hedgehog? Blue hedgehog runs fast and smashes through stuff. Mario? A plumber smashes bricks, eats mushrooms, and saves a princess from a fire breathing turtle. Stupid ideas, but with a little work they became cool games."
I've never seen the version with Patrick Stuart, no. I've seen the animated Disney one, the Muppet Christmas Carol, and an older version many years ago that I don't remember too well.

I've seen the Disney one, I've seen the animated one, and I watched The Man who invented Christmas but I did not like that, thought it wasn't very good. Also, HE didn't invent Christmas!
That one is good, we watch it every year on Christmas Eve.
Oh no....The Suff is the ghost of Christmas Future.
I didn't expect that, but you did great.
Charles Dickens would like what you've added to the story.
But then, who's to say that the GoCF wasn't the suff all along?
The world may never truly know...
He didn't invent Christmas, that's for darn sure, but perhaps he invented the Suff . . .
Ha. The Suff as the ghost of Christmas Future fits well.

I kind of had a similar thought process with the idea to Spielberg when he decided to make Jaws lol
"Well, Jaws has four letters, and Duel has four letters, so I'm gonna make Duel but with a shark."
"Well, the Suff wears a black robe, and the Ghost of Christmas Future wears a black robe, so I'm gonna make the Suff the Ghost of Christmas Future."
I appreciate the look into your thought process, it's brilliant 😂

This is actually stellar advice!
We just started this today!!
