Sword & Saturday, Week 35 - New Chapters, New Essays, and More
The Jarl's Son, ch. 8-2, goes live today. Additionally, we have an essay on chivalric codes in my setting and new stories from contemporaries like Josh Tatter, David B. Corder, and Robin George.
Sharpen your blades, study your spells, and wet your quills, Swordsmen and Sorceresses. Sword & Saturday is come for its 35th week.
We return to the celebration in Halvfjord with the second half of The Jarl’s Son, chapter 8.
If you’ve not yet started The Jarl’s Son, you can find part 1 of chapter 1, “The Road to Halvfjord”, here.
Additionally, at the behest of Joe of my compatriots The Brothers Krynn, earlier this week I penned an essay which explored my ruminations on, and examinations of, the presence of codes of chivalric conduct within my greater setting of Palanor.
At the time of this writing, Sword & Saturday has also seen the following work shared by our contemporaries:
David B. Corder presents us with brief but emotional story of a beardless dwarf seeking redemption for past failings, titled “Remnants of a Vow”.
Kathrine Elaine resumes her ongoing saga of Lake Autumna in chapter 9 of The Lord of the Lake, the third novella in her ongoing series about the Autumnian royal lineage.
Robin George also continues an ongoing story, coming to us with chapter 10 of Runefall, “With Friends Like These”.
Harold Ember rejoins us with a fresh tale of his clever thief-swordsman, Galin, in a short story appropriately titled, “The Thief”.
AJ Stevens comes to us with another entry in his sprawling dark fantasy epic, A Piece of a God.
Josh Tatter makes a triumphant return to his episodic fantasy serial, The Chronicles of Cyron. This latest entry is a short story titled, “Amidst the Alders”.
That’s all I have for now, but we all know the drill by this point. More will likely be posted throughout the day, so keep an eye out for the complete digest when it’s released by The Brother’s Krynn this afternoon!

Not a lot of buckle swashing going on here lately, but I always like to keep up on what others are doing in that arena. My new novel features a silver sword called the Sword of Deliverance. It comes in rather handy for a young Wiccan named Krystaline Mondall!
