In the Giant's Shadow Cover Reveal - [Announcement]
My first major story is soon to be published!
Yes my friends, the time has finally come. In the Giant’s Shadow, the novella which launched the majority of my growth here on Substack, is being made ready for publication!
The covers above were illustrated and formatted by a contemporary of mine from the webcomic space, the always talented Chiflame. You can find his body of work on Cara and Instagram, as well as commission information on his Artistree page. Believe me when I say I couldn’t be happier with how these turned out, and I can’t wait to finally have the book in my hands!
Speaking of, currently I’m hard at work on the book’s final revisions, making what tweaks I need to in order to ensure proper formatting. Once that’s finished, (I suspect this will take me a week or two) I’ll begin the process of releasing the book in digital and paperback formats. Naturally, I’ll make fresh announcements for these releases once they’re available.
However, that leaves an elephant in the room which must be addressed: what will happen with the version of the story available here on Substack?
Put simply, once my final revisions are done, I’ll be editing the version that’s currently up to reflect the final version of the story. The story will then be made available to paid subscribers only, excluding the first chapter which I will leave open for all to read as a free preview of the book. Do please note that it is only in situations like this that you’ll find my work placed behind the paywall. Up until the point of physical and digital publication, all of my work shall remain free for anyone and everyone to enjoy at their leisure.
Finally, I save the best and most important part of this for last: my thanks to all of you who’ve supported me in this endeavor. You know who you are, and I deeply appreciate the support you’ve shown this story and myself.
I can't wait to get this book. I have looked forward to this for a long, long time.
One of these days, I've got to travel around and meet all of you, so I can get you to autograph my books.
Buying the book seems to be the way to catch up on a Substack writer’s past stories! (Because I was going to wait until you finished the current Gaiur story to go back to it.)
